Father's day card making workshop at Singapore Swimming club

Chris from Singapore swimming club contacted me for a Father's day card making workshop for their kids club members. I was so excited as the workshop is for Father's Day. Extra special! Extra fun!

Father's day is celebrated every year on the third sunday of June for honoring fathers and celebrating Fatherhood. For every kid, Dad is their Super hero and role model. Same applies to me and my son too. I love my dad and I thank God everyday for giving me such a loving Father who can stand me by me and support me in whatever I do. Thank you DAD for what I am today. Proud to be your little girl.

When I was working out with the themes for the workshop, my 4 year old wanted to make a shirt card for his Dad. He can't wait until Father's day to give his card. He surprised his Dad in his own way.

The workshop was on June 9th, 2012. It was lovely to see all the children waiting to make the card. The kids selected their dad's favorite colors for making a paper quilled card.  The girls were very excited  and they wanted to express their love for their dad through the card. They decorated it as much as possible. Took me back to my childhood days when I used to express a lot and give cards for my dad on his birthdays every year.

The kids had fun rolling and shaping their coils. When they were done, the kids had a fun time with Chris's camera clicking pictures of their cards and gave a huge variety of poses. Thanks to Chris for her patience and support throughout the session.
