About Embroidery
Embroidery is so much a part of our lives that we may not even notice it. However, when a shirt or skirt features fancy stitching, when a baseball cap has a stitched logo, or when a sweater is monogrammed, embroidery is the cause. Granted, this kind of embroidery is done by machine, but beautiful stitching is also possible through the age-old art of hand embroidery.
It continues as an art form today.

How is cross stitch different from hand embroidery

Many people are familiar with counted cross stitch.
Hand embroidery differs from counted cross stitch in that it uses many different types of stitches to achieve texture and interest, whereas counted cross stitch uses a single stitch and relies on color and shading for texture.

Hand embroidery vs Machine embroidery

Each has it's own merits. First thing, is the cost involved. There are a variety of machines in the market in different ranges. If you are going to do embroidery on a continuous basis or when you have heavy amount of embroidery work to be done or you have a lot of clothes to be embroidered, then you can choose to machine embroider. But, if you are going to do this as a hobby or if you want to do little embroidery works to your clothes, then you can go in for hand embroidery. The cost is very low. It only takes a lot of time to do. The finishing will also look unique.
